# Trend Analyzer

> Set up the Trend Analyzer chart for time-series and trend analysis.

Trend Analyzer shows data in a table-like view with trend analysis. It is available when your metric returns data suitable for trend or time-series analysis.

## When Trend Analyzer Is Available

Trend Analyzer appears in the chart type list when your metric has:

* A single **measure** (with or without dimensions), or
* Only non-numeric columns (categorical data)

Availability can vary by workspace and plan.

## Data Requirements

* At least one column (dimension or measure)
* Often used with time-series or sequential data

## How to Set Up

1. Create a metric with the appropriate data shape.
2. Click the **Charts** icon and choose **Trend Analyzer** (if available).
3. Configure columns in **Chart properties** as for a table.
4. Use **Appearance** and **Table settings** to adjust layout and formatting.

## Notes

Trend Analyzer is not available in all embed modes (e.g., some plugin/end-user configurations). If it does not appear, use **Table** or **Time Series** for similar use cases.
