A Single Value card shows one number (e.g., total revenue, count of customers). You can add a metric expression, comparison value, and conditional formatting.

Data Requirements

  • One measure (or dimension that returns a single value when aggregated)

How to Set Up

  1. Create a metric with one measure. For a true KPI, use an aggregate (e.g., SUM, COUNT) without a dimension, or with a filter that returns one row.
  2. Click the Charts icon and choose Single Value.
  3. Click SettingsChart typesChart properties.
  4. Under Required Axis:
    • Measure: The column to display.

Metric Expression

Use a metric expression to compute the displayed value (e.g., percentage, ratio). Configure in metric settings or the Single Value configuration.

Comparison Value

Enable Comparison in Appearance to show a previous-period or target comparison (e.g., “vs last month”). Configure the comparison column and format in chart settings.

Conditional Formatting

In Appearance, you can define rules that change color based on value ranges (e.g., green when above target, red when below).
