A Tree Map shows hierarchical data as nested rectangles. Size reflects the measure; grouping reflects dimensions.

Data Requirements

  • One or more dimensions (for hierarchy/grouping)
  • One or more measures (for rectangle size)

How to Set Up

  1. Create a metric with dimensions and measures.
  2. Click the Charts icon and choose Tree map.
  3. Under Required Axis:
    • Metrics: The measure(s) for rectangle size.
    • Group by / dimensions: Define the hierarchy.

Configuration

Tree Map uses pivot-style configuration. Set which dimensions form the hierarchy and which measures determine size in the chart properties panel.
